April 6th - Gaviña Coffee Company Tour
 

The Los Angeles Section of the Mercedes-Benz Club of America has been given a rare opportunity to have a private guided tour of a coffee roasting factory (the largest family-owned one in the USA), right here in our own backyard! The Gaviña family has graciously opened the doors of their facility just east of Downtown Los Angeles to show us what goes on behind the scenes to bring us our beloved beverage, but we have a limit of ten (10) spots! Please reserve your spots as soon as possible, since this event will likely fill up quickly. Arrangements will be made for a no-host dinner to follow.

Note from the Pit Master:
We're meeting at the home of Amir and Mindy Rudyan - We'll start at 11:00 AM, and lunch will be served at 12:30. We're serving steaks, salmon and a vegetarian option. (If you have special dietary needs, contact Amir)

Immediately following the lunch, there will be an informative discussion on everything you've always wanted to know about Jewelry, Gems, etc., but were afraid to ask. Our guest speaker is Chase, who is a Club Board Member.

July 21st - MALAMUT MUSEUM VISIT

We are meeting at the legendary Malamut Auto Museum Foundation in Thousand Oaks. This is a massive private collection of a wide variety of cars from Europe, Asia, and North America. This Museum is not open to the public, so please take advantage of this opportunity and come visit with us.
Snacks and refreshments will be provided.
Lunch will be at a local restaurant following event.
Not included with Museum reservation

September 8th - Mullin Automotive Museum

This is a privately owned automotive museum with a large collection of vintage Bugatti's.

  • 10:15 AM Meet at museum entrance
  • 10:30 AM Tour starts at 10:30 sharp!
  • 12:00PM No Host Lunch - Location to be announced at the event.

To RSVP: We have pre-purchased 14 tickets. First come first serve. If you reserve early, we might be able to purchase additional tickets for the tour. Otherwise, purchase tickets at the museum, but tour spots are not guaranteed.

  • 9:00 AM Depart - Route Interstate 8 East to Descanso Exit which is California 79. We can exit there and hold up until the last car arrives. Then we head North on 79 through Cuyamaca to Julian. (Approx. 1:15 hour drive)
  • 10:30 Tour of Eagle High Gold Mine - (it's just before Julian)
  • 12:00 No Host Lunch in Julian. Apple Alley Bakery Restaurant

  • 1:30 PM Tour of California Wolf Center
  • 3:00 PM From Julian, we proceed on 79 North to Santa Isabel, and at his town there is a junction with Hwy 78. We make a sharp right turn on 79, and continue northwards to Carrasito Ranch, where the roads splits again, this time to Hwy 76, but we continue on 79 through Warner Springs, past Warner Springs and eventually wind up at Interstate 15.
    Julian to Starbucks Temecula approximately 1:20Hr. Drive.

The club has reserved (secured) 40 seats. FIRST COME FIRST SERVE! Events at the Candlelight Pavilion sellout quickly. (They expect this luncheon event to be completely sold out by June)

Therefore, to secure your seats, please send in your reservations ASAP!
Payment can be made at a later time, but MUST be received by Mindy no later than October 1st!

Please note the following: If you do not reserve your tickets in advance, and if all 40 tickets have been reserved, there is a very high likelihood that you will not be able to attend! Furthermore, since these tickets are expensive, any un-committed tickets will be returned to the Candlelight Theatre November 1st.
